National Coordinator
Short Term Contract for 5 Months in Central Wellington

Are you interested in working on an exciting project to encourage youth participation?
Kids Voting is a nationwide programme that will give Year Nine high school students the opportunity to participate in an authentic voting experience coinciding with the 2008 Parliamentary elections
We are looking for a National Coordinator for Kids Voting to fulfil the following responsibilities:
• Close liaison with schools and participants
• Management of information and data
• Collation, analysis and reporting on results
• Management of communications and press
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Computer/web literacy and the ability to analyse election data and produce evaluation reports
• Plenty of enthusiasm, initiative, and flexibility
A working knowledge of elections or the social studies curriculum will be an advantage.
This is a full time position from August to December 2008 with some opportunity for flexible hours. It will be paid at $25 per hour.
